Arizona Quail Hunting

With Arizona Quail Hunting, expect aggressive hiking with tough and off-camber shooting opportunities.  We can’t stress this enough. The most common misconception of Arizona topography is that it is flat.  All 3 species of quail live in their own type of vegetation and landscape.  Keep these tips in mind prior to your hunt:

  • Be ready for high elevation hiking (3000-6000ft)

  • Tall grasses hide ball sized rocks that make it difficult to hike

  • Steep hills have hidden loose rocks and tree branches

  • Be prepared for any and all types of weather.  Arizona weather can be unpredictable.

  • It’s hot! Extra water will weigh you down in the field, but you will be glad you carried it.
